Hugh Jackman
Hugh Michael Jackman (born October 12, 1968) is an
Australian actor/producer who is involved in film, musical theatre,
and television. Jackman has won international recognition for
his roles in major films; he is most well known from his roles
in the X-Men series, Kate & Leopold, Van
Helsing, The Prestige, and Australia. Jackmanalsosings
dances, and won a Tony Award for his role in The Boy from
Oz.
In November 2008, People magazine named Hugh Jackman "Sexiest
Man Alive."
At 6 ft. 2 in., all scruff and biceps, Hugh Jackman looms large
in the epic Australia, which he says kept him "dirty
95 percent of the time" and left people stammering, "Oh
... my ... God," according to costar Nicole Kidman, who
adds, "Women's jaws drop when Hugh walks into a room."
Hugh Jackman: Acting is something I love. It`s a great craft
that I have a lot of respect for. But I don`t think it`s any
greater challenge than teaching 8 year olds or any other career.
Hugh Jackman: I have a terrific marriage, but unlike a lot ofrelationships
where they ebb and flow, no matter what happens you fall deeper
and deeper in love every day. It's kind of the best thing that
can happen to you. It's thrilling.
 Hugh Jackman: I've always been interested in doing as much as
I can ... What I hope someone would do for me if they had time.
Hugh Jackman: I`ve always felt that if you back down from a fear,
the ghost of that fear never goes away. It diminishes people.
So I`ve always said `yes` to the thing I`m most scared about.
Hugh Jackman: I wasn't a great dinner party guest. (I would say),'Great
to be here. Now, can I have some steamed chicken and steamed
vegetables?
Hugh Jackman: When you're playing an icon like Wolverine, it'ssometimes
better to be someone that nobody knows because they don't know
what to expect. I don't mind a little bit of anonymity; it helps
on the subway.
Hugh Jackman: I`m not a kid. You don`t get in this business for
anonymity. It`s not like I have posters of myself on the wall,
but at the same time, I`m kind of ready for a little bit of it,
but I worry for my little one, and my family - their privacy. 
Hugh Jackman: I don`t get nearly enough sleep. And the simplest
things in life are completely satisfying.
Hugh Jackman: I'm an actor who believes we all have
triggers to any stage of emotion. It's not always easy to find
but it's still there. |
